A deliberate path
to your first connection.

Start with a supported desktop build, then discover, pair, and enable only the capabilities you need.

GET CONNECTED

From first launch to first session.

The current desktop preview works with named computers on your LAN.

01 / INSTALL

Prepare your platform

Windows builds use the MSVC toolchain or the packaged cross-build. Linux requires native display/audio dependencies. Account-delivered installers are not available yet.

02 / PAIR

Verify the other computer

Find the peer in Discover, compare verification codes, and approve the connection on the receiving computer.

03 / ENABLE

Set the permissions

Authorize desktop, input, sharing, or clipboard behavior for that peer. Catalog selections publish metadata and do not forward USB data.

04 / VIEW

Open a remote desktop

Explicitly start hosting and connect from an authorized peer. On Windows, capture/input/audio need validation on real hardware.

05 / ACTIVATE

Manage the evaluation

Official builds evaluate for 24 hours. Import a signed license with Activate license, or run usbFabric license activate --file license.json.

06 / DIAGNOSE

Keep identity stable

LAN pairing identity and software licensing are separate. Preserve pairing keys and license data; replace or reset them deliberately.

LOCAL SOURCE BUILDS

For authorized development checkouts.

The code repository is private and is not linked from this public website.

01 / RUST

Use Rust 1.91 or newer

Run cargo run --locked from an authorized checkout. The project README lists platform prerequisites and detailed setup.

02 / CONFIGURE

Separate application settings

--config-dir selects app settings and pairing data. It does not reset the per-user licensing directory.

03 / HEADLESS

Operate with the CLI

Use --help, list --json, config, license status, and license request --output request.json for local inspection and activation preparation.
